Apollo Lodge #13 was the first New York Lodge on The Web
Opened May 20, 1995
Apollo was chartered in 1796. Originally #49, it was renumbered as #13 in 1839. King Solomon's Primitive Lodge #91 was formed from members of Apollo in 1842. The two lodges merged in 1997. Our new charter was issued September 22, 1997 and was presented on October 4, 1997.
Meetings are held at the Troy Masonic Temple on Brunswick Road in Troy, NY. See our Trestleboard.
Apollo - King Solomon's shares the Troy Masonic Temple with Mount Zion #311 as well as with other Masonic bodies.
If you are curious about Freemasonry and think it might be for you, e-mail me and I can return some details.
A number of units, Union and Confederate, are once again expected to attend this annual event to be held on the Lodge grounds July 6 - 7, 2002. The Capital District Civil War Round Table and the Hudson Mohawk Industrial Gateway are also expected to attend.
This has been a fantastic event, and promises to be "bigger and better" than last year! Details for this year will be posted as they are finalized, and photographs of previous years will also be added.
Apollo-King Solomon's Lodge sponsors Troop 13, Boy Scouts of America.
Apollo-King Solomon's Lodge is teaming with Mt. Zion Lodge to bring DeMolay to Troy.
If you are interested, see the Uncle Sam DeMolay web page.
We are sorry, but all of the records for both Apollo Lodge #13 and King Solomon's Primitive Lodge #91 were destroyed in a fire at the old temple around 1935. If you are looking for information on an ancestor or previous member, you can probably tell us more than we can tell you.
