Bring a Friend Sunday is put on by the Amity Reformed Church Sunday School. It was initiated in 1993 to encourage new people into our Sunday School program. It has been a very successful program, allowing children and adults that have no affiliation with a church to feel excited about what we have to offer at Amity. In some cases, it allows young people to be exposed to the love and teachings of Jesus who may have never heard the message before.

It is an exciting time for all of Amity Sunday School goers too because it involves a special program. Some programs have included Mischief and Hickory the clowns presenting their magic with a Christian message. We have also had Rev. Richard Patterson present a children's message through stories, songs, and Bible verse memorization. Simm, a Christian Indian who presents himself in full wardrobe shares his faith with the children.(see picture) It is a fun and learning experience for all involved.

kids Our Bring A Friend Sunday is also a fun contest for our children. They are encouraged to invite a friend (or more than one if they want) for that Sunday. The class with the most friends is recognized on Children's Day and they are presented with a plaque that hangs in our Chapel Hall. Of course, we close with a time of refreshments.

If you are reading this web page and do not go to Sunday School and would like to, you do not have to wait until Bring A Friend Sunday to show up at Amity. You are welcome here anytime!
