Music Programs at Amity Amity has always been known for its fine music program. Both adults and children raise their voices and hearts to God in praise. Sitting in Amity's sanctuary, listening to the melodious voices praise God in song, gazing at the stained glass windows, high beamed wainscoted ceiling and old wooden pews, somehow brings you closer to God. 
The Adult Choir enjoys getting together weekly to prepare their music for Sunday Worship Service. Their enthusiasm is contagious and they have a lot of fun. Praising God through Psalms of Praise and a variety of music is their goal. This choir is led by Carolyn lansing. If you like to sing, feel free to come and join us. 
Our Church Organist is Caroline Lansing. She plays for our Sunday Services and directs/accompanies our choirs. OUR CHILDREN'S CHOIRS Amity has two children's choirs that meet during the Sunday School hour for 20-25 minutes each. The children's music program is an integral part of our Sunday School hour. The children are taught to praise God through worship and song. It is a delight to see their enthusiasm in praising God through song. Their Director is Debbie DeVries. The children participate in church services, the children's Christmas program, and on Children's Day. Sunday School and Children's Choirs meet the first Sunday after Labor Day (September) through first Sunday of June (typically Children's Day.) Sunday School/Choir is from 9:00 am to 10:10 am. Cherub Choir 
This is the youngest group of kids from age 3 through first grade. Major focus is on praising God
through simple Christian songs. Zaccheus Was a Wee Little Man and Jesus Loves Me are
examples of the type of music they sing. Simple instruments and hand symbols are used to enhance their music
and make the time exciting. These little ones have a very basic and simple belief in God and in Jesus
Christ as Savior. We also have a weekly visit from Mortimer, a bright blue puppet with red hair that doesn't always sing on key too well. The children are very enthusiastic and would sing all morning without ever getting tired of it.
The songs taught in this group support the Bible stories that the children learn in their Sunday School
class. If you have a little one that would like to join our Sunday School time, please feel free to come to

Junior Choir 
The Junior Choir is a group of kids from second grade through highschool. Many of these children have
developed solo voices and share in the worship service. Solos are done on a volunteer basis and many
volunteer. This enables us to do more complicated songs when longer verses are memorized by
an individual young person. These young people have show tremendous talent and energy and willingness to praise
their Lord through Song and instrument. If you have a young person in this age group, please have them
join us for Sunday School and Junior Choir.
