Falun Dafa, also called Falun
Gong, is an ancient cultivation system brought to the public by Mr. Li
Hongzhi. By cultivating the principles of
Zhen – Shan – Ren (Truth – Compassion – Tolerance), practitioners are able to
quickly improve their hearts, minds and understandings of their own lives. Practitioners usually experience remarkable
health improvements.
When
Mr. Li gave his first public lecture in China in 1992, approximately 200 people
attended. Now an estimated 100 million
people in more than 60 countries practice Falun Dafa. (Mr. Li is also called Master Li. In the East, “Master” refers to a respected teacher.) The main practice of Falun Dafa is studying
to improve one’s heart/mind nature.
Zhuan Falun, written by Mr. Li, is the primary text of Falun
Dafa. Mr. Li has also provided an
introductory book, Falun Gong, and many other works.
Falun
Dafa practice includes five gentle, easy to learn physical exercises. Four are standing exercises, and the fifth
is a sitting exercise that includes a tranquil meditation. Worldwide, all Falun Dafa events and instruction
are free of charge. Donations are not
accepted. For detailed information

The Falun Emblem
Below is
a pictorial representation of a Falun.
According to Mr. Li, “This Falun emblem is the miniature of the
universe.” The symbol in the center is
the srivatsa, meaning “wheel of light” in Sanskrit. (Unfortunately, during World War II, this ancient symbol was
plagiarized and distorted.) The
srivatsa symbol can be found on relics dating back more than 2,500 years. You can read about the Falun in Mr. Li’s
most important work, Zhuan Falun.
