The New Kit vs. The Old Kit
As far as I know, the only difference between the new kit (shipped
about 9/99 and later) and the old kit (shipped before 9/99) is the addition
of a support bracket that connects the blower to the alternator mount and
a new pressure switch. The bracket connects to the blower by removing two
of the bolts on the pulley side and re-installing them with an end piece
of the bracket now held by the bolts. The bracket is essentially a metal
strap that goes from the blower connection to the lower alternator mount
behind the alternator.
The new pressure switch activates at 1psi boost as compared to the old
switch's 3psi boost activation setting. This helps keep enough fuel available
at part throttle.
The New Support Bracket
The A shaped bracket at the end of the bar connects to the supercharger
housing bolts on the side shown below.
