While we've discussed some of the known problems with photos exhibiting stationary orbs (see Investigations, page 1), photos containing what appear to be orbs in motion are more intriguing. Are these just airborne particles close to the camera lens that are moving exceptionally fast? Or are they as some claim, "spirit orbs"? Let us know if you have definitive evidence.

To the right is a photo of what appears to be an orb in motion. This photo was taken by the Albany Ghost Investigators in the attic of a residence in Albany where a number of paranormal incidents have been reported. (See Investigations, page 2).

The next set of photos were taken in rooms on an unused floor at an old mansion in Menands, NY.  Many years ago, these rooms housed residents.

A number of electrical, auditory and some tactile paranormal incidents have been reported over the years in this building. (See Investigations, page 3.)

The bottom photo was taken by Dr. D. K. Moore at the Winchester Mystery House in San Jose, CA, in the room where Mrs. Winchester, heir to the Winchester rifle fortune, was trapped during the 1906 earthquake.  Mrs. Winchester was reported to have held numerous séances in the building during her lifetime. The unusual light streaks were not noted when the photo was taken. However, subsequent information revealed that they were caused by light coming through a window that was covered by plastic.  The photo is a good example of how difficult it sometimes is to determine the cause of anomalies in photos.
