The full obituaries have been moved to www.visitandlearn.co.uk the obituaries will be updated on a regular basis at that location.

The quest for accurate information about the "Endurance" crew becomes a little clearer with John Mann's work on the obituaries of the crew. This is an on-going project, we expect many updates, and John welcomes input and corrections from other visitors. John envisages a picture of each crew member by their Obituary details.

Hi Greg.
I have now added pics to all the expo members. McCarthy is a
problem . No pic exists of him on the Endurance expo other
than he appears in the group pic taken on the ice at the side of the
Endurance. Only trouble is no-one seems to know which one he is lol.
So for the time being I have inserted a pic of a statue of him which
stands in a park in his home town.

I have mailed the local history studies asking if they have a pic and
hopefully they will be able to help.

The next step is to compile a write up of what each member did in the
years from 1917 until their death. I have already made a start.

I hope also to have some missing dates. Very soon the 1901 British
Census will come online and I will be able to weed out a few more of the
missing dates of birth.

Also I hope to have more info on the Hull Seamen.
