Ale or Lager, Pilsner or Stout, regardless of the kind of beer you prefer, the U.S.brewing rennaisance of the past few years has made finding quality beer easier than ever before. In this page we`ll try to point you toward the places we like to drink in the Albany ,N.Y. area, the local brews as well as our homebrew recipe of the month. We`ll also try to provide some jumping off points for regional information involving New England, New York City, and beyond. I am in no way associated with any of the establishments listed here, except as an occasional customer. :) Cheers!
Albany, N.Y. does have some very good options for the beer lover if you know where to look. Between 5 good brewpubs and a couple of first class taverns which cater to beer enthusiasts, you can explore the wide range of ales and lagers that if Anhauser-Busch or Miller brewing had their way, you would never be able to find in the U.S. I suggest you try all of the establishments and would love to hear your opinions on the brews.
