This is General Robert E. Lee on February 23rd, 1865. He has just received his commission as General-in-Chief of the Armies of the Confederate States of America. Lee declined to have a coronation, and only gave humble address to the Confederate congress, thanking them for the rank. Instead of a coronation, the Congress presents him with a golden presentation sword, he again humbly accepts. Now out-ranking anyone in the Confederacy, including President Davies, he believes the power came too late. After a train ride back to the entrenchments surrounding Petersburg, he comes to his headquarters. There, he looks at the commission paper, and thinks, then comes up with a plan. Lee has the power to command all the Generals, so he telegrams Joe Johnston in the deep south, he wants him to unite all of the other southern armies, and the Army of Northern Virginia will meet him and strike Sherman...his plan, if succes! sful, can end the war, and secure Southern independence. I used Lee using the Soldiers of the World doll, boots, pants, and shirt. I made the sash, and embroidered 'CS' within a wreath on it. The belt is dragon, and the sword is from sideshow, I bought those from Monkeydepot. I used these two pictures for inspiration: and .

History of Joseph Grint-Pine by Keith Grint"

This is Joseph Grint-Pine, my great-great-great Grandfather. He served as a telegraph operator for the Illinois State Senate during the war. The figure was based on a tintype that my mother has of him from 1861. I made the figure using a SOTW captain figure. I used some stock SOTW pants and a white shirt. The vest is hand sewed from thin cotton, the buttons are 2mm gold brads. The coat is made from a square of black felt sewn together. The shoes and hat are stock SOTW.

"Lt. Gen. US Grant" "Lt. Gen. US Grant" "Lt. Gen. US Grant & Staff"

Lieutenant General Grant (March 10th, 1864): On that fateful day in March, Grant, then a Major General, recieved his commision as Lieutenant-General, the first man to hold this rank since George Washington. His appointment will change the tide of war, and bring more men to their deaths. Grant was made using a SOTW doll, with the pants and shoes. I took the buttons off of the coat, and replaced them with 2mm brads, so they were the correct size and spacing. The cuffs and collar are painted with a black arclyic paint. The sash was made by my friend, Sean Lee(Leelvr), and I purchased the belt and sword from Monkeydepot. The hat is a SOTW slouch had with a custom made patch, which I embroidered.

History of Rev. Robert "Bob" Oak by Sean Lee"

This is a a custom of a distant relative of mine, Reverend Bob Oak, of the Episcopal Church. He was born on July 9th, 1807 in Alabama, and was ordained on August 11th, 1828. He served with the army of Northern Virgina, as a regimental chaplain. He once gave Robert E. Lee communion. (He wrote his mother, "General [Lee] is very well mannered, and recieved the Body & Blood of Christ from my hands with the utmost respect and honour. He is Very Saintly indeed.") He served with that regiment until 1864, when he was shipped out West. He died during the Red River Campaign, on April 8th, 1864, at the Battle of Pleasant Hill. He was 57 years old. I used SOTW pants, shoes, and the doll. I sewed the cassock my self, and the rope around the waist is yarn. The cross I bought at a local religious store, and the collar is a shirt dickey. I took the picture by my baseboards, and used a red towel for! the "church carpet" look.
