A bog coat, so called because the first one was found in a bog in Denmark,
is a versatile, reversible ethnic garment that can be pieced, appliqued 
and embellished in many ways. It is a loose fitting, casual (or dressy if 
made with the right fabric), comfortable garment that is great for traveling.
