This quilt was the result of a friend showing me her quilts for the Small Works exhibit and at the same time, another friend talking about looking for wire mesh. I used screening found in the basement and fastened washers, S-hooks, chains and hinges with light weight wire to the screening. The "batting" is a piece of tin with gold metal circles glued on. The backing is another piece of tin, the binding is duct tape and it is "tied" with screws. Shopping at the hardware store is as adictive as a fabric store!
