The mission of the New York Interfaith Power & Light is to promote faithful and just stewardship of God’s creation through energy conservation, energy efficiency and the use of renewable energy.

Every congregation or faith-based organization in New York State is welcome to join our interfaith effort to be good stewards of God's gift of energy in its institutional life and in the lives of its members.

Together, we can be a faithful voice for stewardship of God's gift of energy!

We're part of a national network of congregations affiliated with and funded in part by The Regeneration Project.

Coming Spring 2006!

Watch for "The Great Warming," an 80-minute documentary narrated by Alanis Morissette and Keanu Reeves revealing how climate change is affecting the lives of people everywhere.

"The Great Warming" is not only about our global environment, it also looks at the influence of climate change on politics, religion, science, education, energy and economics.

"The Great Warming" also showcases exciting initiatives aimed at reversing the trend toward permanent damage to our planet, as well as scenes documenting the emerging voice of America's Evangelical community urging action on climate change from pulpits across the country.

Collaborators on this project include the Coalition on the Environment and Jewish Life, the Evangelical Environmental Network, and the National Council of Churches.
