Meet the Artist

Linda Finney lives in the beautiful hills of Hoosick Falls, New York. An artist since she was a young child, Linda is self taught, and works from her home. Besides painting and drawing, calligraphy is one of her early loves. Inspirational verses and words of wisdom have always resonated very deeply with Linda, and in 1995, she began her art business, Heart & Soul Design, creating Original Overboards: woodburned original designs, each engraved with an inspirational verse. One day, a customer requested a house portrait, and that led to another, and another... and the rest is history as they say! Capturing the "heart & soul" of each home is the very essence of what she does best... creating a painting that celebrates the love, the laughter, and the joy of family, all of which are found in our homes. Linda's trademark is the loving care given to the tiny details... those little, but very important things that make each house a home. Her House Portraits, which are custom made from photographs, have found their way into the hearts and homes of families all over the world.
