| In the foothills of the Helderburg Mountains in New York's Capitol Region, The Onesquethaw Volunteer Fire Company Inc. provides Fire Protection and Emergency Medical Services to the southern half of the Town Of New Scotland in the Albany County. OVFC has three stations, in Clarksville, Unionville & Feura Bush. OVFC's six pieces of apparatus, include four Engine/Tankers (totaling 5000 Gallons of water) a 250 gal. Brush Truck, and an Ambulance. The area of coverage for OVFC is 42 Sq. Miles and has a population of about3000 residents. The Company was formed in 1942, & is named for the Onesquethaw Creek, which runs diagonally through the district. OVFC provides and receives mutual aid coverage with Fire & EMS agencies in the surrounding area. |
