This
was my ’68 Corvette Convertible.
OK
it’s really a picture of another Vette and I had to change the color from blue
to green. Mine had a 350 horse 327 in
it with a 308 rear. It was a very, very
fast truck and went in a straight line well.
It also had an electronic ignition, which I believe was rare in that
year. Another stock option was an “anti
chatter kit”, which was a horizontal shock absorber to dampen steering
vibration. I guess that says it
all. I replaced the stock suspension
shocks with quality aftermarket and had the first European style radials on it
I had experienced. Still handled like a
50’s truck. The ‘69s were a big step
up. Someone else can explain the
difference. I had a great time with it
but as far as I’m concerned it was more fun in the garage than on the road.
