My name is Bruce Oudekerk.

I was born March 19, 1946 in Troy, New York while my mother was making her way from Seattle, Washington to Glens Falls, New York.  My early years were spent living with my parents Herm and Pauline and brothers Don and Wayne in Lake George, New York.

I am an individual of eclectic tastes and talents evidenced by my formal college education that includes majors in Physics, History, Art History, and lastly the visual arts.  I taught High School Art in a small rural school for 32 years.  That career entailed teaching Studio in Art, Drawing and Painting, Pottery & Sculpture, Photography and most recently Computer Graphics.  I have been interested in the latter since I saw a television show in the late 70’s involving computer graphics on a large mainframe.  My early digital adventures were primarily done on an Amiga computer that was way ahead of its time.

On June 11, 1972 I was fortunate enough to marry Nancy and we raised two children, Kera and Mark, in the small upstate community of Lake Luzerne.  Those years were very “full” as both children were into many varied activities.   As a family we spent many hours boating on Lake George and it was a focus of our summer free time.  When Mark became involved in travel hockey life became even more hectic.  I miss that time.

Nan and I are now retired and living in Saratoga, New York.  The days are too short and we seem to have less time now than we did in the past.  I started a small graphic consulting business that I work at part time.  It keeps on creeping into my leisure timeJ
