A Link to Nowhere (or "Why we refuse to have a links page.")

This ought to be a short article. One day I was looking for a picture of something. So, I went to my nifty Search Engine page that was created by none other than Paladin, and I goto the HotBot engine and put in my query. I come up with a lot of different pages and so I hit the first one. I wait for this guy's page to finally load up and do a "find" on the word I'm looking for. Ahhh... There it is! In the "Links" section. Okay, I hit that link. I wait for this guy's page to load up and I do a "find." Ahhh.... Success. It's in the....... "Links" section. Okay, let's go there.

Then I do another search and find another link. And another. And another. Some of the links are gone, the others are more links. My search finally ended when I came back to the page I started with. I search other places and others and all I ever get are links. I never did get my picture. Just links leading to other links.

Then there are people who create links just for the hell of it. Not even a specific topic. You have a link for butterknives, followed by TV repair, followed by anime, followed by some other piece of junk that has nothing to do with nothing. And you have to wait for thier 500kb page to load up because they don't even have the consideration to make them seperate pages grouped by subject.

Well, to Hell with that! I'm not gonna put you through the misery of stupid links. If we feel there is a place that is truely worthy of a link, we will put it in the article. We don't have the time to constantly update people's links because their page went down.

And that's what I think of that.
