Kyle's Quest is an Role-Playing Game Engine created by Kyle Poole for the 3-Com Palm Pilot PDA. KQ is the first of it's kind, not just for it's advanced graphics and play mechanics, but that it has an open-ended engine, allowing it's users to create the levels for it. I have had the priviledge of creating the first KQ level that was not sponsored by Kyle (No Bones About It being said level.)

Kyle's Quest is making great strides in development. It's currently at version 3.12 and version 4 should be offering some great advances. KQ is currently available for the Palm Pilot and WinCE, with a Full-Color Win95 Port due soon.

Legend of the Orb (Remake) - Episode 3

Kyle winds up on an island, where a special orb has been destroyed by monsters and taken into a giant forest maze. In order to save the people, Kyle must destroy the monsters and reunite the five pieces of this orb.

Legend of the Orb was originally created by the author of KQ, Kyle Poole. It was made for the first version of the KQ Engine, and by the time the second version of the engine was released no other user had created a level, so there was no need to make a v1->v2 level converter. Most people never got to play this level since the KQ engine is not backward compatable. So, I remade the level from scratch. Aside from upgrading the graphics, and a few others, the level is the same as the original.

No Bones About it : Director's Cut - Episode 4

Kyle has finally made it to the mountain land of Jaronnia, where his friend, Kenny, is to meet him. Unfortunately, the land has been invaded by a band of Undead Pirates and Kenny has gone after them. You must now find your estranged friend and defeat this undead menace.

This level originally came out for the v2 Engine, but when v3 came out, and offered such features as "Warp Points" and "Rooms," it was updated to the way it originally should have been. Director's Cut makes it a much more enjoyable experience.

King of Rogues - Episode 8

Kyle arrives in the Kingdom of Eden to find that his travelling companion, Kenny, has been framed for stealing the King's Prized Jewel. Kyle must now find the real culprit and free Kenny from prison before he's wrongly executed for the crime.

Fatal Fantasy : Apocalype Now! - Episode 10

When Kyle helps a town reclaim their stolen relic, he finds that there is more to this story than a simple theft, and is soon dragged into an apocalyptic battle for the fate of humanity. A dark prophecy is soon revealed changing Kyle's life forever.
