Meeting was called to order at 12:05 p.m.

Sandy Compositor, Council Leader, thanked Mike Salony and Marlee McCumber for help creating and maintaining the PEF Division 203 Web site.

Doug Jasinske, Secretary-Treasurer gave attached Treasurer's Report and read minutes of last General Meeting.

Membership voted to increase rebate amount from $10 to $15 and keep amount of Scholarships at 3 $300 Scholarships. Membership voted to extend scholarships to employees as well as spouses for full-time undergraduate students.

Ron Vero, Executive Board Member, asked for assistance from membership to help post info on PEF Bulletin Boards.

Ron introduced our guest, Region 8 Coordinator Lou Matrazzo, (represents 16,000 PEF members) who also serves as member of Contract Team. Lou reported that he has only received 2 e-mails from members questioning why PEF is not at the bargaining table. Lou stressed that it is much more important to wait for a better off than to accept an offer just for the sake of settling soon. Lou believes that the State will make Time-keeping an issue that PEF will not give in on. He reported that the Hospital Network proposal is scheduled to be implemented on 1/1/05 and GOER refuses to respond to PEF's queries about the proposal so we're at a stalemate. The Region 8 Stewards Council voted to recommend to the Political Action Committee to suspend any Republican endorsements until we sign a contract. Cindy McCarran asked if PEF regrets endorsing George Pataki and Lou supported the decision as it allowed for sick time parity among members to become a reality at the time of PEF's endorsement proving that PEF was more concerned about its members than its Leadership looking good as would have been the case had PEF decided to delay parity until contract ratification. Edith Allen asked that since CSEA accepted for 0 for first year, would PEF? Lou advised that PEF's hands are tied as far as percentage increases go since CSEA set that pattern. Ken Walwyn inquired about Tuition Reimbursement and Lou responded that PEF is looking to make it retroactive. Matt Cinadr thanked Lou for participating in the PEF demonstrations and encouraged PEF to continue demonstrations. Lou assured us that PEF is continuing its demonstrations throughout the State at various times, dates and places. Everyone applauded Lou for his efforts and thanked him for his information sharing.

Meeting adjourned at 12:45 p..m.
