Meeting called to order at 12:07 pm.
1) Tom welcomed new members who were in attendance.
2) Bob summarized our proposed budget and told members that we plan to keep the budget the same as last year with the same number of scholarships and the same rebates. Wayne Fuhrman made a motion to accept the budget, and Cindy McCarran seconded the motion. The members voted unanimously to accept the budget. A copy of the 2006-07 Audit Committee report was made available to the membership.
3) Tom noted that an announcement for the Scholarships will be going out in July. If a member would like to be considered they need to send in a letter showing that their child, or spouse is a full-time student. The drawing for the Scholarships will be in September at our membership meeting.
4) The PEF Secretary-Treasurer, Arlea Igoe, and The PEF Region 8 Coordinator, Tom Comanzo were introduced and spoke to the membership about the status of the PEF contract negotiations, PEF budget issues, PEF committees that are always looking for new members, and the bus trip to see a Yankees game which is scheduled for August. We have the announcements for the bus trip and will post on our PEF bulletin boards.
5) Tom told the members that we have three delegates for the convention in September in NYC. All three delegates area from Delmar and he encouraged the Albany membership to become delegates for next year.
