SCCC hosts a kite festival on the first Saturday of May every year. There are large well-kept grass areas at the campus located in Loch Sheldrake, near Liberty NY. It is a hilly area so the air can be quite bumpy, but there is usually enough wind to fly. I have never flown there outside the weekend of the festival, but I imagine nobody would object.
