We did two-tank boat dives, almost always morning ones. Because of the distance to get to the dive shop, this involved getting up pretty early which is something to consider if you prefer sleeping a little later. Stuart Cove’s offered a shark dive, which we declined (thank you very much) but we heard lots of comments from those arriving safely afterwards that they really enjoyed it. There were lots of fish, some really big groupers. One of the really neat things that we enjoyed was on one dive at a wreck, the Will Laurie, we were joined by the Atlantis Submarine. It was fun waving to the folks inside while they waved at us.
We were in Nassau in mid-April. This may be considered off-season, but was a really nice time to go. The dive boats were not crowded and overall we’d rate it as a good destination. However, we think that a few days is really enough since we felt the sites were rather limited so this might be a destination to choose if time is limited and you just want a quick diving get-away.
