Notes:  John Kyle (Kyll) emigrated from the town of Lorrademore, in the south of Ireland  (County Down), to America, and came direct to the State of Pennsylvania.  He lived in Lancaster County, PA for a number of years where he married Ann CRAWFORD.  About 1775, he moved from Lancaster County to Kishacoquillas Valley, Mifflin County, PA.

        He was prominent in his church, local township and county affairs; he served several sessions in the Pennsylvania State Legislature and on February 25, 1845, was commissioned as an associate judge of Mifflin County, thereafter being known as Judge Kyle.
