PARKING TUESDAY To Nursery and PreK parents, relatives, friends – Please do not park next to the school on 114th Street Tuesday when coming for your graduations. This area is reserved for school bus parking and busses will begin pulling in any time after 10:15. Thank you.
KINDERGARTEN GRADUATION Our Kindergarten graduation will be Tuesday morning at 8:00 in our gym. There will be a short reception following the graduation. Children may leave with their parents following the graduation. This ends Kindergarten classes for the year. If you would like an upper grade sibling to attend the Kindergarten graduation, please send a note in to the office.
6TH GRADE GRADUATION The 6th Grade graduation is Tuesday night at 7:00 in the church. All are invited. There will be no 6th grade classes on Wednesday.
LAST DAY FOR GRADES 1 – 5 Wednesday is the last day of school for Grades 1 through 5. Dismissal will be at 10:00 from their classrooms. Our end of the year awards assembly will be at 8:15 a.m. in the hall Wednesday. All are invited.
THANKS TO THE SACRED HEART SODALITY We would like to thank the St. Augustine’s Sacred Heart Sodality for their generous $1,000 donation to the school. I will see that it goes where the most need is.
LAST DAY FOR AFTERCARE Today is the last day of Aftercare for this year.
KITCHEN CLOSED Except for breakfasts next Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, the kitchen is closed for the year.
SUMMER PROGRAM We still have a few vacancies in our K- 6 summer program. If you would like more information or a registration package, please call the office.
SUMMER PROGRAM PARENT MEETING There will be an important meeting of parents of children registered in our K – 6 summer program (or parents who would like to hear more about it) on Monday, June 25th at 7:00 in our library. Please reserve the date.
REGISTRATIONS We will continue to take registrations Nursery through Grade 6 this summer. We still have some vacancies in our Kindergarten class.
BBQ AND FIELD DAY Monday is our annual barbeque and field day. Classes will be participating in field days in the park and hot dogs and hamburgers will be barbequed for lunches. In the event of rain, field activities will move to our gym and lunch will be served in our cafeteria. Mr. Vince DeRubertis, former parent and long time supporter of St. Augustine’s School, will be cooking for us on his grill. Students should bring in a bottle or two of water, labeled with their name, to drink during the course of the day. Kindergarten students already have enough juice for themselves for the day. Our Parent Guild is paying for food for the BBQ.
PLAYGROUND BENCH We are grateful to our Parent Guild for providing our new nursery/primary grade playground with a beautiful bench for supervising staff. It can be seen on our website.
NEW 1ST GRADE RUG Our first graders would like to thank Mr. & Mrs. Lonczak for their beautiful classroom rug. They’ve been enjoying it for some time now. You can see a picture of them and their new rug on our website.
NEW OFFICE SAFE We would like to thank Mrs. Jean Bufy, a parishioner, for the donation of a beautiful new office safe. It can be seen on our website.
AFTERCARE/LIBRARY BOOKS All Aftercare fees must be paid in full and all books returned to the library (or replacement price paid) for children to receive final report cards.
SPAC JAZZ TICKETS Mrs. Zakrzewski has two lawn tickets to the SPAC Jazz Festival for June 23rd that she would like to sell ($40 each). She had purchased them for her auction basket.

LAST NEWSLETTER This is the last Newsletter for this year. We will update it during the summer (on line) as needed. We will also be sending out a summer mailing in August to all families who have registered their children for September. Thanks to all of you who have supported St. Augustine’s School this past year and especially to those of you who will be continuing their support for us in September. We do our very best to bring a rock solid academic curriculum, individual attention, and (starting in Kindergarten) ongoing instruction in the Catholic Faith to your children. With your support we will continue to do so for many years to come.
SUMMER OFFICE HOURS
The office will be open each day this summer from 9:00 until 2:00.
We will be closing at 2:00 on Wednesday and summer hours begin on
