It all started back in 1971...Unbeknownst to either of us then, 25 years
later we'd be husband and wife. Even back then we'd have made a cute couple!
As we grew through the years, years of school, work and friendships, we both followed
uncertain paths that led to a certain destiny.
Here we will share with you a little about ourselves...

Melissa was born Melissa Claire Shannon on September 26,
1971 in Amityville, NY to Claire and Stephen. She has two sisters, Tracey (older), and
Meredith (younger) who were both in the wedding. Tracey lives on Long Island with her husband,
Kevin, raising their young son Kyle. Meredith is living at home and is a pet groomer.
Melissa grew up on the east end of Long Island (Ridge, NY) and attended St. John the
Evangelist Elementary School where she was a cheerleader (can you find her in this
picture?) and Mercy High School. She graduated from the University at Albany in 1993 with a
BA in English and a minor in History. Currently she's the Marketing Coordinator at a local
Credit Union. Some of her favorite things are flowers, gardening, mountain biking, skiing,
reading, cats (and all animals for that matter...), Christmastime, hybrid interior
decorating (melding the likes of my bikes and tools with her flowers and frills), bagels, Cheerios and her nephew, Kyle,
seen here on the drums.

Jim was born James Dannecker Feck on Flag Day, June 14, 1971 in Albany, NY
to Sandy and Jim. He has a brother and a sister Adam (younger), and Vickie (younger), who
were both in the wedding. Adam is
a Senior at SUNY Potsdam studying Anthropology, and Vickie is a Sophomore at Evergreen
University in Washington State studying Philosophy. Jim grew up in Upstate NY
(Voorheesville) and attended Voorheesville Elementary and High Schools. He attended Troy
High School his Junior and Senior years of high school to play hockey for the school. He
graduated from the University at Albany in 1994 with a BA in Political Theory and English
and a minor in Anthropology. Currently, Jim is the Technical Manager for a local software
development/computer consulting firm. Some of his favorite things are his wife, ice
hockey, drums, music, mountain biking, skiing,
National Public Radio, computers/technology, decorating small, enclosed areas far too
much, cats (and all living things...), family, Goobers, trivia, life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
