Racial Talents

The Hira'razhir possess the following Racial Talents:

  • Enhanced Senses - As described in the HARP rulebook.
  • Favored Skill - As described in the New/Revised Talents area of this website. The following skills are favored for the Hira'razhir: Acrobatics, Aerial Combat, Bows, Pole Arms, Pole Arms Thrown and Navigation.
  • Instinctive Defense - As described in the HARP rulebook.
  • Missile Deflection - As described in the Martial Law rulebook.
  • Natural Flyer - Possessing wings the Hira'razhir take to the air naturally and suffer none of the penalties land-walkers do for actions made while airborn. Specifically the Hira'razhir have no penalty while engaged in aerial combat and do not need to learn either the Flying/Gliding skill or the Aerial Combat skill. [Note that they may learn the Aerial Combat skill and apply half of the skill bonus above 80 as a bonus to their OB while engaged in Aerial Combat - but in either event they suffer no penalty. They do gain a bonus of +40 to this skill if developed.] As comfortable as they are in the air their wings suddenly become impediments when on the ground. Hira'razhir suffer a penalty of -20 to all activities engaged in while on the ground and in circumstances where their wings could get in the way. This does include melee combat afoot.
  • Navigation Gift - Similar to the RM talent the Hira'razhir have an innate feel for direction and receive a +30 to all Navigation skill rolls.
  • Night Vision - As described in the HARP rulebook.

    Adolescent Skill Ranks

    Characters from this race must choose one of the Adolescent Skill packages listed below as common to their racial type unless they possess the Changeling talent - in which case they may choose any Adolescent Skill package as provided for in that talent description.
