Zurrtanni

[Imperials]

General Description

This remenant of the once powerful Childern of Fire this race is found throughout Whent and may be the oldest human inhabitants of the world. The strongest concentration of pure Zurrtani blood is within the tribal lands of the Kellit, Monnit, and Obucc, and within the Old Kingdom lands where the remains of the empire the Zurrtanni created slowly recovers from its dissolusion from excess.

That being said the Zurrtani were the Dark elves' principle slave race, and they are now fairly common throughout the world. The typical Zurrtani stands 5'8", (women 5'5"), with brown or green eyes and hair ranging from white-blond to black - with black or dark rown being by far the most common. A 'true-blood' has a complexion of oiled mahogany but skin tones range from a purple-black to cafe-au-lait. Darker skintones are considered more socially attractive. The trademark red hair of the original Zurrtanni is never found naturally (except in the very rare albino) although dyeing one's hair a firey red is once again a rising fashion among the Old Kingdom Zurrtanni.

Like all of the Human races the Zurrtanni have many things in common with each other but they still show a variety of talents, skills and abilities that is astounding. Zurrtanni characters have an additional 35 DP that may be spent to aquire additional talents only.

    Adolescent Skill Ranks

Characters from this race must choose one of the Adolescent Skill packages listed below as common to their racial type unless they possess the Changeling talent - in which case they may choose any Adolescent Skill package as provided for in that talent description.

(See the Adolescent Skill Development page for a list of all of the available packages.) A Zurrtanni character's adolescent skill ranks ore based upon where they grew up and their position within their society. There are five Zurrtanni social classes currently available. They are: Zurrtanni Wanderer, Old Kingdom Noble, Old Kingdom Guildsman, Old Kingdom Legionnaire and Old Kingdom Landsman. The Zurrtanni Wanderer is the general Zurrtanni wandering about the world and may be used for wanderers of other races with GM approval. The others are the basic social/familial divisions within the Old Kingdom lands. The most respected families are those who have served in a particular capacity for generations - and particularly those that served the Empire in the same capacity. The social classes below represent the training members of the various families recieve as a matter of course under the assumption that they will follow their family's 'traditional' path. The skill ranks characters recieve by virtue of being a member of one of these classes are listed below.
