Half-Breed Races

General Description

This Section will eventually have all the information on the various half-breed races found in World of Whent. Most half-breeds combine a human bloodline with that of another, usually elven, race. In the vast majority of these instances the child is born among and subsequently raised among the human racial group.

The major Half-Breed races (or at least those currently described) are:

Jurri Half-Breed - A blending of the elven Teleri and the human Jurri bloodlines. These pairings often produce some of the most athletic persons to walk the face of Whent. These half-breeds enjoy their human parent's skill in acrobatics coupled with the natural dexterity of their elven parents making them quite literally whirling dervishes! Unfortunately they also compound each of their parent's tendancy toward a lack of self discipline and have been known to flit from one distraction to another - never realy finishing anything.

Mishi Half-Breed - A blending of the elven Allarin and the human Mishi bloodlines.

Wolf-Runner [Kurrick Half-Breed] - A blending of the elven Teleri and human Kurrick bloodlines. Outstanding woodsmen these half-breeds are the front line of defense for the Free-Cities town of Wolf Run. Although most people reffer to anyone from Wolf Run as a "Wolf Runner" (or more commonly simply a "Runner") it is these half-breeds that most people think of when they talk about Runners.

Lastly the Bahari are a little known and seldom seen race but they are obviously of mixed parentage. That or of another race entirely. They are known to live far off-shore, coming to the mainlands to trade in small odd boats. Those that have been seen have shown themselves to be jolly folk, ready with a ribald joke for nearly any circumstance. A tight-lipped folk they will happily share a tale and many a pint of stout but they talk not at all of themselves - no matter how deep in their cups they are. For the moment the quality of their trade goods is all that the coastal merchants need to know. That and the rumors of what has happened to those few who have tried to pirate one of the Bahari's small craft has allowed these folk to travel when, where and as they will.
