You have all heard the phrase 'There are many paths up the mountain to God'. Near us is a mountain that has a breathtaking view and it gives you a feeling of being on top of it all, a peacefulness that you do not always find in the midst of the hustle bustle below. It makes you feel so good inside. It is such a great experience for us that, not only do we visit up there often, we bring others to see it. There are many roads you can take to it.

There is, however, only way to God that ALL can experience but each person, individually, must chose themselves; no one else can do it for you. It is only ONE road and it is straight and narrow. Sometimes it can be rocky; other times, it might be smooth. You cannot get lost if you keep your eye on the Guide and if you do, you never have to travel it alone. This road is 'Salvation'and the Guide is 'JESUS'.

Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God... John 3:3

He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him… John 3:36

You must be born again in order to see the kingdom of God and live eternally in heaven with Him. To be born again, you must confess with your mouth, Jesus Christ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead. You need to confess your sins, repent of them and ask Jesus to come into your heart and be your Savior and Lord of your life.

And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life... Matthew 19:29

This does not mean you give all that up and walk away from it. It means that you put God first in your life. Everything else comes in order. You must be willing to give all to God and walk as Christ would walk, willing to do His work. You no longer live (stay the same as you were) but now Jesus lives in and through you. The Holy Spirit will teach you, lead you and guide you in all you do and say.

God wants all of us, not just a part. This can cause your relationships with others (those not bornagain) to distant themselves from you or try to discourage you from walking with Jesus. It can bring some very lonely times but the blessings will come in His time!
