Here are a few things that tell you a bit more about myself.
Color
Purple - It's the color of medieval royalty and these guys.
Movie (Comedy)
Caddyshack wins as best all-time funniest movie. My Cousin Vinny, Meet the Parents and Old School are a few of my
other favorites.
Movie (Drama)
Great Expectations, Ever After, Goodfellas, Casino, Cape Fear, Basic Instinct,
Full Metal Jacket, Reservoir Dogs, et al. Basically, any good drama
(especially something from the medieval or mob genre) gets my attention.
Actors
Robert DeNiro, Joe Pesci, Michael Douglas
Actress
Gwyneth Paltrow, Kiera Knightley, Julia Ormond
Televison Series (Drama)
The Sopranos, although it jumped the shark the last few seasons.
Television Series (Comedy)
The Simpsons - the lowest common denominator for dry humor, and
pure genius
Radio Talk Show Hosts
Howard Stern (ca. Billy West and Jackie Martling) - a
shame, but the show died a slow death with Artie Lange as a writer.
I have hundreds of hours of shows dating back to the 1980s that
remind me of what terrestrial radio should have been.
Tom Lykis - predictable sexist rap, but was entertaining nonetheless; has been out of the Albany market for years, though - too bad
Opie & Anthony - new talent currently only available on satellite radio; if not for the sweeping indecency reforms by the current regime, this show would have usurped the prime demographics from the Stern show in most major radio markets
I'm a die-hard podcaster now, so I don't listen to much talk radio anymore. Any form of advertising can bite me.
Car
Most Sports Cars; exotics are my favorite
Music
Just about anything - and I mean anything...well, except
Country/Western
Music Artists
The Doors, The B-52's, Kiss, ZZ Top, Leah Andreone, Violent
Femmes, System of a Down (among many, many others) and SIRSY - these guys are unbelievable,
NFL Football Team
[The Norse Force]
NHL Hockey Team
New Jersey Devils, but I only tune in during the playoffs. How many
games do they play during the regular season, anyways? GOOD
GOD!
NBA Basketball Team
Used to be the Knicks back in the days of Patrick Ewing and John Starks, but now I'm disenchanted with the game; Too
much hooliganism and posturing on and off the court. I haven't watched in years.
MLB Baseball Team
So, you like watching grass grow, do you?? Zzzzz.....
